Hello and welcome to my website! I’m Matthew Ovens, an actor and writer based in London. After spending the majority of my youth immersed in performing arts, it was my time at Bath Spa University, where I graduated with honours in Drama Studies and Creative Writing, that ignited my passion for screen acting and scriptwriting.  Both of which aligned perfectly with my creative ambitions. My acting career so far has been filled with opportunities to work on notable projects, including my first professional role on Channel 4’s critically acclaimed series "Humans". Each project has been a stepping stone and an opportunity to further refine my skills and network, whilst fueling my love for cinematic storytelling. As a writer, I am drawn to the intriguing crossover of darkness and humor. Therefore, my writing often explores dark themes, while weaving comedy into these narratives as a form of respite and reflection. This fusion of genres not only challenges me creatively but also resonates with audiences who appreciate a thoughtful, laughter-filled exploration of life’s complexities. Currently, I am proudly represented by FindleyRavenheart in London and Luber Roklin Entertainment in Los Angeles. Both agencies have been incredibly supportive in helping me navigate and grow within the ever-evolving entertainment industry. I am eager to continue exploring diverse roles and crafting stories that entertain, challenge, and provoke thought, all while pushing the boundaries of conventional storytelling.
