Hello and welcome to my site! I’m Matthew Ovens, an actor and writer based in London.

After spending the majority of my youth immersed in performing arts, it was my time at Bath Spa University, where I graduated with honours in Drama Studies and Creative Writing, that ignited my passion for screen acting and scriptwriting.  Both mediums aligned perfectly with my expressive personality and creative ambitions.

My acting career has been graced with opportunities to work on notable projects, including my first professional role on Channel 4’s critically acclaimed series "Humans". Where more recently, I portrayed 'Renaldo' in the feature film "DaliLand". Each project has been a stepping stone and an opportunity to further refine my skills and network, whilst fueling my love for cinematic storytelling.

As a writer, I am drawn to the intriguing interplay of darkness and humor. My works often explore the darker facets of the human psyche, weaving comedy into these narratives as a form of respite and reflection. This unique blend of themes not only challenges me creatively but also resonates with audiences who appreciate a thoughtful, laughter-tinged examination of life’s complexities.

Currently, I am proudly represented by FindleyRavenheart in London and Luber Roklin Entertainment in Los Angeles. Both agencies have been incredibly supportive in helping me navigate and grow within the ever-evolving entertainment industry. I am eager to continue exploring diverse roles and crafting stories that entertain, challenge, and provoke thought, all while pushing the boundaries of conventional storytelling.
